Create a Computer Game
Each "tent" group will create a computer game, board game, or vocabulary packet
for next week's Hole's activities.
Directions:
Hangman:
1. Go to Quia.com. Sign in using my user name and password.
2. Go to the Instructor Zone
3. Under "create a new", choose Hangman.
4. Create a Hangman game with the words and definitions I give to you.
Rags to Riches:
1. Go to Quia.com. Sign in using my user name and password.
2. Go to the Instructor Zone
3. Under "create a new", choose Rags to Riches
4. Find these vocabulary words in Holes. Use the sentence the word is used in
as your question. Leave a blank where the word belongs. Include the word as one of the choices
for the answer. Please see the example below:

Battleship:
1. Go to Quia.com. Sign in using my user name and password.
2. Go to the Instructor Zone
3. Under "create a new", choose Battleship.
4. Use the review questions for any of the chapters we have

Literary Devices

Personification & Alliteration
Onomatopoeia, Hyperbole, & Repetition
to create a game about each literary device.
Homework Packet
1. Go to edHelper.com. Sign in using my user name and password.
2. Go to Your Saved Word List and select Holes 29-39.
3. Create a set of flashcards and at least two activities.
4. Print the cards and activities.
Board Game
1. Use any of the materials in our room to create a board game
about anything we have learned in Holes so far. Emphasis should be
on character, setting, and literary devices.
